  2. Always good to see you and your family and thank you for the kind comment. :)

  3. Ryan Gomes Says:

Great, great food. Awesome and friendly servers. Reasonable prices, and clean atmosphere. I recommend this place to everyone I know!

  4. Thank you very much for your kind comment Ryan and we’ll keep serving up the “great” food for you as well. Mahalo!

  5. We moved from Honolulu and miss the people and wonderful food at Utage. The poke and miso soup are the best in the whole State of Hawaii. No joke!!!!! Everyone should take the time to eat at Utage because you will never be disappointed. MISS YOU ALL AT UTAGE!!!

  6. Aloha A@A! YOU MOVED AWAY FROM HONOLULU & MOST OF ALL UTAGE??? Shame on you! Nah just kidding LOL :) I’m so glad you say that our poke and miso soup is that good, thank so much! I hope your moving was a good one. Please take care and if ever in Honolulu, stop by and say “Hi” to gang at Utage. Mahalo and Aloha!

  7. It was my first time at Utage Restaurant and I had the Nasubi with the shoyu pork and it was absolutely tasty and delicious I like that it included dessert too and I had the coffee gelatin with whipped cream and it was a great way to end the meal. I was very pleased with the friendly and great service. Will definitely go back again and bring my family.

    • Hello Yuki-san! Thank you so much for the kind remarks. Our Nasubi w/ shoyu pork is the most popular Okinawan dish we serve and the homemade coffee gelatin is another favorite among our customers. Bring the ohana! Mahalo!

  8. I love this place, but can rarely go here anymore. The reason is they took pork chops off the menu. My wife loved their pork chops, thus allowing me to eat their at least once per week. Now she refuses to eat there. Let me know if they reinstate the pork chop.

    • Hi Jon! Sorry about that. Although it’s not on the menu anymore it is put on as a weekly special. You can call in every week(843-8109) to ask when it will be on and now you come to the place you love dinning at. We really appreciate your comments. Mahalo!

  9. Wide menu selection, expertly executed, efficient, friendly wait staff, excellent value. Even Gordon Ramsey would find not much to do at Utage. I agree, the best ahi poke in the state and the ox tail soup has to be #1 too. This establishment is recession proof, unequaled in quality, value and service. The only downside is the limited number of seats especially during the weekends.

  10. Mapuana Kahanu Says:

I LIVE ON THE BIG ISLAND…..ANYTIME I VENTURE TO OAHU
MY FAMILY AND I ALWAYS, ALWAYS EAT AT “UTAGE”.
WELL, MY NEPHEW WORKS THERE, LUCKY FOR US, HE
LET US KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE. IF I EVER TASTED ONO
KINE GRINDS, IT’S AT “UTAGE”. BESIDES, THE WORKERS
HOSPITALITY MAKES THE RESTAURANT A WINNER.

  11. Cyndy Yamasaki Says:

    Aloha…
I had the oxtail soup and it was so delicious…I have told everyone I know how good the food is there…can’t wait to get back…onolicious!! Like other comments…the atmosphere is warm and the workers are friendly and helpful…

  12. My boyfriend brought me to Utage for the first time and I loved the food. Very affordable, friendly staff and service and good food. Will definitely come back to eat.

  13. Me and my boyfriend love going here-he’s a local boy so he feels at home which says a lot. I really enjoy the food here-they give good portions especially when it comes to the sashimi. =) We shall be seeing you again soon. Thanks for the great food and service.

Jay, it’s us – your Kauai friends. Everytime we go there I always tell myself to try something different. Been there countless times and only seem to order Shoyu Pork with Eggplant. Maybe next time?
    Aloha, Jerry & family

  15. tenchimouse Says:
